New Blogs Design

So, this past Thursday, I softly launched a new design for HITS Blogs. It’s a huge change for the Blogs portion of the website, but not a big change for the site as all it does it mimic the rest of the site’s look. I still had a few bugs to iron out, which I believe I’ve corrected. The background-color changer is working, all archives appear to be in working order, and layout objects are appearing properly.

I’ve been working on this for quite awhile now, off and on. Probably over a year, now. I asked the community once or twice if they were also annoyed by the drastic difference in appearance between the main pages and the blog pages. Essentially, no one cared, but I just couldn’t sit idly by knowing there was such a large gap in design cohesiveness around the site. If I had the skills, I’d reformat the Tally Hallmanac to look like this, too. But that ain’t happening anytime soon (if ever).

It’s a little more jumbled-looking, I know, but it shouldn’t take long to get used to. Plus I’m sure there will be design tweaks constantly happening until I can’t think of anything else to do.

If you have any feedback, be sure to leave it in the comments!
