Summary of 9/15/2007 @ the Avalon in Hollywood

SUMMARY OF THE NIGHT’S EVENTS:
I don’t expect many people to actually read this whole thing, but those of you who do read it, kudos to you.

4:35 - Driving down the street trying to find parking and Rob, Andrew and Zubin are standing outside and we freak out. Finally park, but we both have to go to the bathroom so bad, that we venture down the street and end up having to buy a soda at a pizza place to use the loo. Get back to the venue and they’re already inside for sound-check although we can see them through the tinted windows. Even got a roadie guy in trouble for letting us in for 15 seconds, haha poor guy.

5:30-6:00 - We both change into different clothes. I wear my white shirt, black slacks, black slip-on dress shoes, belt, and brown tie.

6:00 - Get in line, and a group of other annoying fans have on white shirts with like drawn on ties, and they were hella annoying(Yes I said hella, despite its out-of-date popularity and annoyingness) They were jealous though, I’m sure, haha. Stupid drawn-on ties..

7:00ish - Doors open, we rush to the front. Continue reading →

09.15.06 Madison, WI

Woohoo! I love Tally concerts!!

THE STORY OF THE 09.15.06 TALLY HALL CONCERT IN MADISON

I arrived at the Annex at around 9:15. The openers were supposed to start at 9:30 and Tally Hall at 11pm. Of course, concerts always run late. I sit down and wait, I see Ross and Rob and Andrew walking around but they look busy so I let them be.

Rob then notices me and walks up to me, says “Hey, how are you, long time no see!” I was really excited, he at least recognized me after 5 months of being away. He asked about my boyfriend and his car and other random stuff. It was cool.

Later, the first opening act came on, Sean Michael Darigan and two others. Not bad, really corny jokes but still fun. During this act Andrew notices me and proceeds to strike up a conversation, really fun. (BTW, none of them remembered my name, but that was kinda expected).

Camping w/ Tally Hall

So, last Wednesday, as in 8/9/06, Tally Hall came to Boston. They were playing an 18+ show at the Paradise Lounge.

My friend Ani and I decided that we wanted to go into Boston that day and maybe meet the band beforehand, because I knew that stuff like that happens in TallyLand. Plus, it was Ani’s birthday, and she loves Tally Hall almost as much as I do (I introduced them to her).
Unfortunately, about a week ahead of time, I realized: Oh, wait- I’m going camping that day. darnit, I can’t go. But, Ani decided to still go. So I gave her money so she could buy me Tally gear, and went off camping.

Ani ( and our friend Tess) traveled to Boston that day, walked many miles to find the Paradise, and proceeded to search for the Tallies. I kept getting calls from them which sounded like this: “So, yeah. We can’t find them.” me:” Look for the van, or something. It’s big and blue.” Ani::”wait, is that them? gah! No! they’re disappearing! Come back!”

Madison 04.16.06 — by: Kate

Happy Easter! Tonight the Tallies were in Madison again, and what a show it was!

I got there at 7:40 or so, expecting that the doors had already been open for 40 minutes. However, the doors were still locked, and I was the only person standing outside waiting! After about 10 minutes a guy (*not* Al) walked up and yelled at the guy sitting inside, and he opened the doors.

I walk in, and the guys are finished with the sound check. I run into Andrew and Ross and start talking to them about Easter and Passover and kosher-ness. Then they run off to dinner while I wait for the rest of my group to show up. Continue reading →
