They put up "Welcome to Tally Hall" today.
But... it's an edited version. I wonder why...........

(there's no "hey ho, don't you know, it's a good old fashioned puppet show" verse. And there's one final "we think we're playing in a band" A Capella verse at the end instead of two.)

Weird, I don't understand why they would want to do that.

I... I cannot honestly say I'm in favour of it.

I'm confused because it's obviously not like a new version.... it's not what's on the album. There's no real reason for it unless it's to be used as a radio version, for song length purposes.... but it's not that long to begin with, so I'd be surprised if that's it.

Maybe it's an unused mix that was done but rejected, and now, accidentally uploaded. I could see that happening.

I AM, however, in favour of Kake's usage of the European/Canadian spelling of FAVOUR.

It's the version from Marvin's mk. I with the intro lopped off. I don't know why they'd use it...

That was my original guess. Although that's not a very exciting explanation

what does mk stand for?

mk. is an abbreviation for "mark", a synonym for "iteration".

This version of Welcome was from the first release of Marvin's, if my memory serves correctly, only it has the intorduction lopped off of it.

You mean the '05 version of Marvin's?

It's not that

SOOooo...
With the launch of Myspace Music, major labels can now upload entire albums- NAY! entire DISCOGRAPHIES of their artists.

I hadn't taken the time to look until a moment ago, but, all of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum is up on their myspace. So... you can now add any of those songs to your Myspace profile- NAY! Myspace PROFILE PLAYLIST!

Wasn't there that site that someone had posted on the other forums a while back that allowed you to download audio files from MySpace? Does that still work with the new iteration of MySpace Music? I'm not hoping to illegally download any Tally Hall stuff, in case anyone's worried; I've already legally obtained as much Tally Hall as is legally obtainable. I was just kind of wondering in general.
Also, does this help bring us any further to the conclusion of what this mysterious new mix of WtTH is?

www.file2hd.com sort of works. You can download the mp3s on the first playlist that is loaded on myspace. With Tally Hall, that would be the featured playlist, which has six songs. Theres probably a way to get to the others, though.

Worst comes to worse, you can always use audacity to record the mp3s. That's a little more hassle, but it always works

Official answer on the "new" Welcome To Tally Hall:

It's nothing more than a "radio edit" -- a shortened version of the song, a length more suitable for radio in case radio stations start picking it up.

I never noticed that it didn't have that part of song in it. Dang I need to listen to it again.
