Also, here's a handy trick. If you search YouTube for "misery fell tally hall," or something to that effect, you don't come up with any videos of the song. HOWEVER, if you know how to use Google to search a specific site, or if you have the Google Toolbar (which can do it for you), use it to search YouTube for the same thing, and you'll come up with a few videos.
EDIT: Actually, those do show up when you just search YouTube now. Maybe I just spelled it wrong the other day. xD
MY TRICK MIGHT STILL WORK, THOUGH.
Yeah I was gonna say........ :)
As for the idea, that's something I don't know if I'd have the patience and time for, so if you do... more power to you.

On a side note, I absolutely adore my new avatar. I nearly burst with awkward laughter each time I see it.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. xD I need to get me an avatar...
I don't even know why I decided to do this. I figured it'd be good to have as a resource, and to see if there're any real rarities that anyone's seen that nobody else knows about. Also, it was fun to arrange everything.

I'm thinking about changing it around a little. Although it would be a little repetitive, the OCD part of me really wants to list the full track listings for Complete Demos and Pingry, not just the songs from those that aren't on MMMM.
Also, I added the videos that I could find for the new songs. I'm Gonna Win has two versions, acoustic and non-, and there are actually a lot more videos of Misery Fell and Turn the Lights Off. I know that video of Misery Fell cuts off the first couple words, but the sound quality is really good; also, the sound quality for Maybe in the Night really blows, but that's the only video I could find. If anyone finds videos that are better, I can change them.

!PANS HO I just say my status thing was changed from "noob" to "1st Degree Black Bow-Tie"... friggen suhweet.
Thanks Coz!
it's all about the post counts.

So this is a list of anything and everything they've ever played. At Least A Day must be up there along with the Kazoo Opening Song from the Blind Pig show... or, as Oliver calls it: "Christmas-light-adorned suits/kazoo-ridden and voice-distorted show-opener. The CLASKARVD"
Wasn't the kazoo song the Rocky Theme?

Yea, its funny picture, I bet it'll be a funny skit, if its any longer than what was on that preview.

As for the lyrics: Your idea is very similar to the system of TMBW, the major They Might Be Giants fansite http://tmbw.net/wiki/Main_Page. They have separate pages with links to a lyric page, guitar chord page, and even a discussion/interpretations page for each song. Obviously, this would take a lot of work, but I'm sure people would be willing to help, I know I'd be happy to help.

But, is that completely necessary? It would be a pain, but if its something that you think people would want, it would be worth it.

Also, Coz, haven't you said you don't want all the lyrics on the site? It does take a lot of the fun out of listening to songs, I think. I rarely look up lyrics. On the other hand, though, the lyrics are out there anyways, and it would be good if people looking for these lyrics could just go to HITS, making it more popular.

That's funny. My friend's just gotten me into TMBG very much recently, and I've been going to that site more and more of late. Maybe, subconsciously, that's where I got the idea for this thread. xD

1. The kazoo song I mentioned was definitely not the Rocky theme. It was only recorded once that I know of, at The Blind Pig while they dressed in christmas light suits.

2. I can easily set up a wiki on HITS. Is that something y'all want? That might satisfy Jill's desires, too. As for the lyrics, yes... I was against putting lyrics up there. I'm unsure where I stand at this point, now that they're signed to a major label. I really don't know. Plus, I still believe it's technically illegal to do. The legality is questionable, at best.

Not sure if it's any longer. Honestly, for me, it doesn't need to be any longer. I was in tears just at its current length. Also, fun fact: That's Andrew's real grandfather. ohh do we still have a FF thread here? brb...

That skit is so much funnier knowing its Andrew's grandfather, I dunno why
