Do you hear the flibbity jibbity jibber jabber
With an oh my god I've got to get out of here or I'll have another
Word to sell
Another story to tell
Another time piece ringing the bell
Do you hear the clock stop when you reach the end
No
You know it must be neverending
Comprehend if you can
But if you try to pretend to understand
You resemble a fool
Although you're only a man
So give it up and
Smile

Let's bring this thread back to life. Plenty of new songs, why not put them here.

I've written up one already, when I have time I'll get the other one and put them both on youtube. The lyrics are crystal clear except for a few parts:

Never Meant to Know (3:05)
Rob Cantor

Woke up today with the lay of the land
Feather in cap and the sun in the sand
It was easy
It was easy to understand

Everything suddenly falls out of sight
Every attachment is made of the light
That you offered
You have offered to give me life

[Chorus]
See the sky and all the land together again
See the way the Earth can stay below
Who do we think we are?
Everyone plays a part
There are some things we are never meant to know

Having enjoyed all the meat from the bone
Is perfectly equal to being alone
It was even
But you breathe and I turn to stone

Everything suddenly looks like a sign
Easy to see from the (outer climb?)
I believed in
What I leave in the wind behind

[Chorus]
See the sky and all the land together again
See the way the Earth can stay below
Who do we think we are?
Everyone plays a part
There are some things we are never meant to know

All the parts combined to one
And all of us around the sun
The ocean will not fall away
An order to the disarray
See the sun the shadows cast
From all the times (the moon?) did pass
See the ocean spinning out
(Befall the home?) and all the doubt

See the sky and all the land together again
See the way the Earth can stay below
Who do we think we are?
Everyone plays a part
There are some things we don’t understand
Reasons, on the other hand,
There are some things we are never meant to know

Sacred Beast (3:01)
Joe Hawley

We live in the service of the King
Almighty, in control of everything
As the Queen decides who lives and who dies
Tonight we will sing
Love was never more than simple (?)
(Whistling)
Easiest thing (?)

Our mission is to slay the Sacred Beast
Who has come to claim our innocence, at least
And though those who came before us (went?)
To die, as it’s feast
We’ll be riding high and swinging
(Whistling)
‘Till we’re deceased

First of all we know that we are dying for our lives
Wanting for (not and no?) surprise, so there will
Need to be a war for love
A fight in spite of death above
Biting the hand that feeds it’s own demise

We thought we had found a separate piece
We thought all our pain had finally been released
But as long as we’re alive we’ll never rest in one piece
Meanwhile (may we?) join in whistling
(Whistling)

Worst of all it knows it’s only truth is made of lies
Wanting for (one?) and ever wise, so there will
Need to be a compromise
Easier to close our eyes
Seeing the other sides of our disguise

We thought love was only nice or mean
Perhaps it’s something vaguely in-between
So while neighbors’ fight to paint their yards
The best shades of green
We’ll be in the garden growing
(Whistling)

Hopefully these will be on YouTizzle today

Can someone do me a BIG favor?

I would like someone to make the best possible mp3s of these and please send them to me, I tried downloading a program to make them mp3 as they're uploading, but I just can't figure anything out. By best possible, I mean good sound quality, have it begin when the song begins (maybe a slight fade in before music starts), and a fadeout as the song ends, so we don't get blasted by the applause sound and cheering.

Why not use Windows Movie Maker / iMovie to put an audio fade-in and fade-out at the end of the movies? Then I can strip the audio if necessary, but I don't think it'll be necessary at that point... unless I'm totally missing why you want an mp3 of a movie... and I'm only guessing its a movie cuz you didn't say what you want to make an mp3 from.

Thank you much, I've been messing around with Audacity for like 20 minutes.

Just make sure to get best quality possible, i'm not too sure how it works, but i imagine it's like 320, but variable bitrates confuse me a little.

EDIT:
I made MP3s of them, I can start sending them, if anyone wants them, but I think others can do better than I can.

homophonish question: "a separate piece" or "a separate peace"... a reference to john knowles' book...? i remember hearing that line and thinking of the book.

the world may never know :)

(also, a good lyricist almost NEVER rhymes the same word with itself...)

I know that you don't rhyme the word with itself, so no one (good) does, so maybe this was Joe being like "look what I can do and still have sound cool"

But you're right, it could be either and make sense
