Tally and the Halls
For your viewing pleasure...
Here is the live performance of "Spring and a Storm", by this forum's own Charissa and Joy, featuring Lily on bongos. (note: the mic went out during the act before them, so you'll have to strain your ears a bit)
Here is the encore performance in the main stairwell of NHSH, better audio quality but a few more blips. (note: mom singing "blah blah blah")

Re: Tally and the Halls
you'll get to see all the fun things like me struggling with barre chords (THEY MUST DIE), a huge clump of hair that got stuck to my face because i put chapstick on before we went on and so i couldn't get it away, me messing up the words and singing "crowd" instead of "cloud" in a few placessteph wrote:For your viewing pleasure...

you plays all your instruments well and your vocals were VERY impressive. real high quality job!
that was not the response i really expected, we've done better, but thanks
i have a new respect for bands that play the same song over and over and over.
but it's weird listening to SaaS now on CD and not being the one playing it, ha

yes i've heard it, it's loverly.ozmacity wrote:Would this be better off in the video section? Or maybe the Covers/Recordings thread, which somebody should'a transferred over from th.com
Anyways, ya'll looked like you had fun.
Have you heard our "Spring and a Storm" cover?
T.H. Phone Home <~~~~~L@@K!
and this thread is here because the T.H. phone home thread was here, y'know.
And we did have fun, however we're not planning on recording much more very soon. We did too much too fast and we're a bit sick of it now.

i meant learning something with a deadline. cramming practices was hellish D:
but yeah, doing stuff like layering takes all the fun out of it. we like to perform, not can our voices... but hey, to each their own. we're in it for the live aspect, not the recording. that's why our "recordings" aren't that swell, they're taken with a digital camera afterall...

find someone that lives near you to play with!ozmacity wrote:Yeah I long to do that too, yet my fellow band member happens to live 3000 miles away, haha.
So, no dice.
no offense to your bandmate... but there's got to be someone in your state at least that can play a few chords with you.
even if just for the live aspect. keep recording with josh, though, it works for you.

ihadnoideaiwasbeingdiscussed.
we have yearbook up, a solo song by me (caleb on guitar to accomodate for my ineptitude)
and we have yet another classic in the works.
and while i'm here, i'd like to applaud our Tally and the Halls on their rendition of Spring and a Storm. your voices resonate so well together, especially in the stairwell. wizardly haunting, et wot?

(even though that specific stairwell performance was the worst we've done)ChubbyChao wrote:ihadnoideaiwasbeingdiscussed.

but it was greatness
i think we'll be working on other things, and most likely recording in that very stairwell since the acoustics are good and it evens out the volume between us.
thanks again
