The cover art used for Joe Hawley's version of "Since I Don't Have You" is an oil on canvas painting by Coz Baldwin entitled "This Way (Box 2)" from 1997/1998. This is the 2nd of 3 versions of this image that were created throughout Coz's senior year of high school.

The image, if we were to see it all in this version, is depicting a rectangular box with the corner of the box directly facing the viewer. On one side of the box is an opening with an apple inside. The other side of the box shows a sign saying "THIS WAY" with an arrow pointing in the opposite direction of the apple.

The technique used in the painting was achieved by first using broad brush strokes of a black primer. Then painting only on the black primer, leaving the unprimed canvas open. The end result leaves the viewer with a sense of incompleteness. It can also have a Rorschach Test effect on a viewer who sees the outline of the primer strokes more than the image inside the strokes.
